Jim Brau

I am the Philip H. Knight Professor of Natural Science at the University of Oregon in Eugene, USA.
I am also serving as Associate Director for Physics and Detectors for the Linear Collider Collaboration.
I have been working on linear colliders for nearly thirty-five years,starting with my collaboration along with Japanese colleagues at the first linear collider, the SLC. Our experiment, SLD, produced indirect evidence of the Higgs boson that was eventually observed directly at the LHC in 2012.
After working on SLD I have been active in working toward the International Linear Collider in a variety of ways,including detector R&D, physics analysis, and collaboration leadership.
